I caught Big Fish a 6.12-pounder at the AllStar Bass team tournament on
Roosevelt Lake last Saturday. Caught it on a chartreuse Blue Fox buzzbait
in 2 feet of water around 7 a.m. Didn't think
it was as big as it turned out to be. Six-pounders are not that uncommon on
Roosevelt. Weighed in first flight and thought someone would weigh a bigger
fish out of the 103 entries, but it was my day. My wife and teammate, Pat,
netted the big boy. Bless her heart, she was more excited than I was. Just
wanted to share my joy and success with you.
